• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians (Engineering, Design, Science, Product, Business) to conceive, design, and bring innovative GenAI-powered shopping experiences to market
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, driving fundamental changes in how customers shop
• Architect and implement AI/ML-powered systems that anticipate customer needs and enable intelligent product evaluation
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems
• Establish design principles, select design patterns, and mentor junior team members
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software
• Influence product roadmap and contribute to technical strategy for Shopping List, Grocery, and Product Evaluation features

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
