Position Responsibilities:
Expert in two or more aircraft systems (e.g., Avionics, FMS, Displays, Radio/Comm, SATCOM, Flight Controls) with Certification expertise.
Drive implementation of new Technologies and Safety mandates (eg. Runway Awareness, GPS RFI, Data recovery, Trajectory performance and SAF etc).
Lead Airplane level Systems integration by collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed technological advancements.
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Lead planning, defining, and verifying System Safety requirements to ensure design integrity and safety for certification of aircraft systems/subsystems for full lifecycle.
Lead hazard identification, risk analysis, and mitigation to meet safety and operational goals and verify system designs against FAA, EASA, and other certification standards.
Optimize architecture for reuse, productivity, and safety enhancements, lead and approve stage gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, Certification).
Conduct comprehensive safety assessments across system architecture, hardware/software, and installations.
Review design specs, test procedures, and change requests for safety impacts. Provide real-time support and develop contingency plans for safe operations.
Define and maintain system safety design practices, collaborate with Technical Fellowship. Support creation of functional excellence standards. Prepare reports and presentations for safety boards and reviews.
Lead research and recommend technology investments, recognized expert in process development and supplier issue resolution.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Electronics, Avionics, Aerospace, or related field from an accredited university, with 18+ years (Bachelor’s), 16+ years (Master’s), or 13+ years (PhD) of experience in aerospace system engineering, design, and analysis.
Proven experience in designing, developing, or integrating multiple aircraft systems, emphasizing safety requirements, mandates, and hazard analysis.
Knowledge of ATC operations, aircraft interiors, and emissions is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in the aerospace industry integrating system-level requirements into complex platforms or systems.
Knowledge of DGCA, CEMILAC, MIL, FAA/EASA, and type certification processes.
Proficient in Systems Engineering fundamentals including requirement validation/verification, functional integration, and Concept of Operations.
Familiar with aircraft system safety analysis standards such as MIL-STD-882E, ARP-4761, and ARP-4754.
Understanding of RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, DO-313, and FAA 14 CFR Part 25 regulations.
Preferred experience with model-based systems engineering tools like Cameo or Rhapsody.
Experience presenting technical analyses and proposals to senior leadership, regulators, or customers.
Additional certifications in aviation/aerospace system safety, accident/incident analysis, or safety program management from recognized institutions are a plus.
Typical Education & Experience:
Engineering degree (Electronics & communication, Electronics & telecommunication / Electrical & electronics) and 16+ years related work experience, a master’s degree and 15+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
