Your Responsibilities - Backup

Provide operational support and implementation services for backup and recovery, high availability architecture, and data replication for disaster recovery. Leads and coordinates the Backup (Data Domain/Avamar/PPDM/Cloud Native) technical and business discussions. Deep knowledge on Backup software integration/configuration with most commonly used applications in industry (e.g. Backing up SQL, Oracle, VMWare, NAS shares etc) Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for environmental issues as they arise. Support and design complete Backup, Restore strategy, configuration of Backups- Full/Incremental/Image/Sub-file and troubleshooting.

Your Responsibilities - Storage

Design technical implementations and support day to day operations across various storage platforms including but not limited to NAS, SAN, System Administration, Performance Tuning. Management and administration experience on various Dell storage products including PowerScale, PowerStores, MetroNode and Unity. Candidate will also be expected to have hands on knowledge of SAN switches administration along with working knowledge of various cloud storage services (FSX-Ontap, Azure Files etc.) Sound knowledge of CIFS/SMB, NFS, multiprotocol and basic Linux administration skills. Familiarity with various encryption technologies (for both Data At Rest and in-transit) and ensuring compliance. Proficient with code upgrades, migrations, SAN switch management and performance management Writes and maintains complete and concise technical documentation. Serve as the point of escalation for Storage and Backup operational incidents across all regions. Working knowledge of Azure/AWS and IaaS services One or more - Scripting and development languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash or Perl) Work closely with business units, application teams, and other IT departments to address requirements, dependencies, and operational needs. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on operational performance, projects, and incidents. Incident & Change Management - Manage incident resolution and root cause analysis for critical operational issues. Oversee change management processes, ensuring minimal impact to production environments.

What you will bring to the table:

Complete familiarity with Disaster Recovery (DR) and backup technologies including design and implementation of Geographically Dispersed HA/DR. Must have experience managing, optimizing, and upgrading storage & backup environment and its schedules strategies. Strong experience in managing and supporting enterprise systems in a highly virtualized and hybrid data centres spanning across the globe. Sound knowledge on Data Domain, DDVE, Avamar, PPDM and Cloud native backup solutions. Sound knowledge of Dell PowerScale, PowerStore, Unity and Connectrix SAN switches Experience communicating at various levels including non-technical staff, leadership, management, and stakeholders. Strong proven skills in ITIL framework (Especially, Incident, Problem and Change management) Familiarity with various Agile methodologies esp. Scrum and Kanban Complete familiarity with storage and backup technologies including design and implementation of Geographically Dispersed setup Sound knowledge of UNIX with working knowledge of disk group, multipath, ACLs and encryption. Knowledge Cisco, VMware system/servers are a plus.

Your Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
• 5-15+ years of experience in enterprise-class storage and data protection services
