What you'll do

As an AI Expert, your key responsibilities include:
•    Designing and developing AI-powered applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol.
•    Researching, evaluating, recommending AI frameworks, tools, and platforms for use at SAP.
•    Establishing best practices, standards, and governance for AI development.
•    Ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance of AI applications.
•    Collaborating with global teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing applications and workflows.
•    Staying up-to-date with the latest AI trends and tools and recommending their adoption at SAP.

What you bring

•    Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 
•    Over 10 years of IT experience.

Must have skills

•    Advanced programming skills in Python or Java.
•    Distributed Computing Systems for Big Data engineering such as Databricks (PySpark/Scala).
•    Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, LLaMA).
•    Agentic AI concepts and protocols (Model Context Protocol, Agent-to-Agent protocol or Agent Communication Protocol).
•    Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

Nice to have skills:

•    DevOps and MLOps practices.
•    Multi-agent system design.
•    Transformers (Encoder - Decoder architecture).
