Storage in Azure
Before proceeding further if you still not created Azure free tier account please set up that first by following this blog – https://ninotronix.com/devopsnewblogs/index.php/2023/04/03/how-to-create-azure-free-tier-account/
In Azure there are two type of storages are there –
- Storage Service
- Azure Datalake Service
Storage Service further classify in 4 types–
Containers (BLOB)
Azure Storage Containers is a cloud-based service that allows users to store and manage unstructured data such as text, images, and videos. These containers are like file folders that can be organized and accessed easily. Containers in Azure Storage provide a cost-effective and scalable way to store data and make it accessible from anywhere in the world.
In addition, Azure Storage Containers is SEO-friendly as it provides an easy way to host and serve static website content. This makes it a popular choice for web developers and businesses that require fast and reliable website hosting.
File shares
Azure Storage File Shares is a cloud-based service that provides a simple and secure way to create file shares in the cloud. This service allows users to store and share files across multiple virtual machines, on-premises servers, and other devices.
With Azure Storage File Shares, users can easily share files with colleagues and partners, collaborate on projects, and access files from anywhere in the world. The service provides a scalable and highly available platform for storing files, with built-in redundancy and disaster recovery features.
Azure Storage File Shares also offers advanced security features such as encryption and access control, which help protect sensitive data from unauthorized access. Users can set permissions for specific files and folders, and monitor access to their files through auditing and logging capabilities.
Overall, Azure Storage File Shares is a powerful and flexible solution for managing files in the cloud. It simplifies file sharing and collaboration while providing advanced security and data protection features. With its scalability and reliability, this service can help businesses of all sizes to efficiently store, manage, and share their files in the cloud.
Queue
Azure Storage Queues is a cloud-based service that provides a scalable and highly available message queueing system for asynchronous communication between components of cloud-based applications. It enables decoupling of components and improves application performance and scalability by allowing message-based communication between them.
With Azure Storage Queues, developers can easily create and manage message queues that can be accessed by different application components. These messages can be in any format, such as JSON, XML, or binary data, and can contain commands, instructions, or data. This service allows developers to send and receive messages asynchronously, which means that the sender and receiver do not need to interact with each other in real-time.
Azure Storage Queues offer advanced features such as message expiration, time-to-live, and message deferral. It also supports FIFO (first-in, first-out) messaging, which is useful in scenarios where the order of messages is critical.
Table
Azure Storage Tables is a cloud-based service that provides a NoSQL key-value store for structured data. It allows developers to store and query large amounts of structured data, such as customer data, product catalogs, and log data, in a highly scalable and efficient manner.
Azure Storage Tables are schema-less, which means that developers can store data with different structures in the same table. It supports flexible indexing, allowing users to index on any property in the table. This enables efficient queries and data analysis, even on large datasets.
With Azure Storage Tables, developers can easily create, update, and delete entities, which are the equivalent of rows in a traditional relational database. Entities are partitioned into tables, and tables can be partitioned across multiple servers for scalability and performance.
The service also provides advanced features such as transaction support, optimistic concurrency, and automatic paging to help developers manage large amounts of data efficiently.

Data lake in azure
Azure Data Lake is a cloud-based service provided by Microsoft Azure that allows organizations to store and analyze big data in a scalable and cost-effective manner. It provides a distributed file system and data processing framework for big data analytics.
Azure Data Lake consists of two key components: Azure Data Lake Store and Azure Data Lake Analytics.
Azure Data Lake Store is a scalable and secure data repository that enables organizations to store and manage massive amounts of data in a distributed environment. It supports both structured and unstructured data, and provides features such as hierarchical namespace, permissions, and metadata management. Data Lake Store is integrated with Azure Active Directory for identity and access management, and provides seamless integration with other Azure services, such as HDInsight and Azure Databricks.
Azure Data Lake Analytics is a powerful big data processing engine that allows organizations to process and analyze massive amounts of data using familiar languages such as SQL, .NET, and Java. It provides a distributed, parallelized processing engine that scales automatically based on workload demand. Data Lake Analytics also supports popular big data frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Hive.
Overall, Azure Data Lake provides organizations with a scalable and cost-effective platform for storing, processing, and analyzing big data. It simplifies big data management and analytics, and provides powerful tools for data scientists, analysts, and developers to build data-driven applications and solutions.
