Job Description
- Own end-to-end qualification of 1G–800G Ethernet interfaces, including SR/LR/FR/DR and coherent optics.
- Validate optical transceivers, DAC/AOC connectivity, DOM/DDM parameters, interoperability, FEC, link stability, and error handling.
- Develop test strategies, test plans and test cases covering functional, negative, interoperability, scale, stress, resiliency and regression testing.
- Validate networking platforms during software upgrades, reboot, GRES, Routing Engine switchover and interface failure/recovery scenarios.
- Develop and maintain scalable test automation using Python, Robot Framework and network automation frameworks.
- Automate device configuration, test execution, traffic validation, log collection and results analysis.
- Configure and utilize Ixia/Spirent traffic generators for line-rate traffic, throughput, packet-loss, latency and stability testing.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, optics and automation issues; perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) analysis.
- Reproduce defects, provide detailed diagnostic information and collaborate with software, hardware and optics engineering teams through resolution.
- Contribute to release qualification and continuous improvements in test coverage, automation and product quality.
